Type 5 verbs are very similar to Type 4 verbs in that the suffix is stressed and changes the "е" to a "ё". However, the conjugations for (I) and (They) follow the Type 1 pattern with -ю and -ют, respectively. Type 5 verbs are quite rare, but it's handy to know that they exist in case you come across one of them in your travels. For example, the verb петь means "to sing". The unguessable stem of петь is по- Here is a summary of Type 5 verb suffixes organised by pronoun:
