Over the years we have received a lot of feedback about the Listen2Russian website, and it seems our visitors especially like the little bits of culture that are thrown in amongst the language lessons. And so, over a small bottle of Parliament vodka (easily the best vodka in Russia!), we decided to create a section of the site dedicated to Russian Culture.
Our aim, however, is to go beyond what you might find in Wikipedia or Russian history books - instead we want to introduce you to contemporary Russian culture as seen through the eyes of Russians living in Russia today!
With that in mind, if you have any Russian friends who are budding writers and want some exposure, please let them know that we are always looking for new articles that examine Russian life. We will attempt to write as many articles as possible, but it would be great to see some new contributions too. Any topic, big or small - from the history of the Kremlin to what Russians eat for breakfast - we would love to hear about it!
